Shipping info

Our products are shipped from Seattle, Washington, via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail, Media Mail, First-Class Parcel, First-Class International, or Priority International depending on destination and the shipping option you choose. We pack all items in sturdy cardboard mailers or boxes (depending on book/order size) with bubble wrap, and we try to ship orders out on the next business day. Depending on order volume and other factors, it can sometimes take a bit longer for your order to ship.

We don’t charge for packaging or handling. You pay only the posted USPS rate for shipping, plus Washington sales tax. (Washington requires that businesses tax all sales, even to customers outside the state.)

PDF guarantee

We believe that all print books should come with a digital version, and we don’t believe that you should have to pay for content twice, so Engine Publishing offers a PDF guarantee for all of our books: If you buy an Engine Publishing book new in print, no matter where you buy it, we’ll give you the digital edition for free.

Just email a receipt, or a photo of one, to martin (at) enginepublishing (dot) com, and we’ll send you the digital edition.

We’re also part of Bits and Mortar, so if your local gaming store participates in that program you’ll automatically get the digital edition from them when you shop there.

Returns, cancellations, and refunds

All sales are final. This means we can’t accept returns, and we don’t offer order cancellations or refunds.

No EU sales

Due to new VAT regulations, as of 2015 we can no longer make direct sales to the European Union (EU). It’s a crappy situation, and I apologize. I recommend DriveThruRPG and your local gaming store as alternatives.

Undeliverable mail

It’s rare, but sometimes an order is returned to us as undeliverable. If this happens, we’ll get in touch with you to confirm your address. If the error was ours, we’ll reship your order for free. If the error wasn’t ours, you’ll need to cover the shipping costs (USPS doesn’t refund shipping on undeliverable mail).

Damaged items

We pay a premium in order to provide excellent packaging, and we’ve shipped hundreds of books without incident, but it’s always possible that something will go wrong in transit. If you receive an item that was damaged during shipping, please email martin (at) enginepublishing (dot) com and we’ll take care of you.
